well actually you can start with the default, as it is a pretty good setup

DMP sets are really nice for race distances altough maybe a bit tight so playing with a bit of wedge might help.

The DMP sets are very nice over a long run, plus they have quali sets there already so you don't need to mess with changing tape between sessions.

with 80% grill it's more for little less gas on the car the ideal grill @ Daytona is 70% ;)...but be carefull with it in the pits as you rev, so will the temp lol

Roy, look for this entry in your player PLR file: "Keep Received Setups"
Change the entry to 3. This way you will keep the setups sent online in your received folder.

For Grille tape, around 65% will do fine for the race and around 90-95% for quali runs.

LOOOOOOLLL
you still have a bit to learn ![]() qualifying in stock car is only 4 laps as you say...(but they are private, so you won't have any other drivers on the track).. inlap......2 qualy laps...then outlap ;......so actually the engine needs to hold on only for those 3 laps and yes...by lap 3 a lot of smoke will get out of the car..... (btw do you remember back then when F-1 had a quali rule that only you are allowed to do only 1 lap?....well imagine something like that for stock cars)

They don't smoke in RL, it's just something you can do in sims because you don't need to do an inlap. You just do an outlap and then 2 hotlaps. Ignore the smoking during quali, only a problem in the race

SMOOOOKING
![]() in real life after doing lap 3, drivers will shut down the engine immediately to avoid overheating/engine failure....& coast back to the pits

This of course means that I am initially slower but I hope to have more life in the car over longer runs.. NB - I am not likely to be the fastest out there.
