I think I made a mistake?

Heyy all, well I finally received my new pc and after installing all and everything I installed arca. Now I played a while everything worked, so I decided to put my car in the game. When I did all the steps to creating the new folders and all for my car and renamed everything I tried opening the first DDS File instead of the VEH file. I opened the DDS with notepad but forgot to uncheck the box (allways use this program for this type of file) now all my DDS Files are notepad Is this Fixable and what program do I need to open these files photoshop paintshop pro etc..

Depending on your Os: (Vista/XP fix) goto Default programs from start menu, and just chane the file associations.

If you havn't got default Programs in your programes list (vista add): Right click taskbar, Properties. Click Startup Menu tab, Cutomize, put tic in box for "Defualt Programes"

No you really don't need to do that. Right click the file, and then click properties and click on change to bring up a new menu of programs you can use to open the file. If photoshop isn't there, just go browse then find the photoshop .exe and they will all then open in photoshop again.

Sweet one problem solve the other tthings is that they dont open with photoshop :s what program open .DDS files ????

You need to get the nvidia .dds plugin if you don't have it.

If you want to make car skins, you would be best off trying to get some .psd templates as with a .dds you will have to remove the mipmaps and you may also have to resize it.
