Hi all,

My first PC racing game was Indy Car Racing II, before that I lost quite some money to Atari's Pole Position in the arcade...

At the moment I'm racing rFactor, GTR2, Race07 and most recently iRacing. Every sim has it's pros and cons in my opinion.

I'm certainly not the fastest around, see you on track!

Hello,

my name is Marco and I´m from Germany. My interest in Motorsport started 93/94 with Schumacher entering the F1. Afterwards i lost quiet some interest, due to the F1 got a bit boring imho. Few month ago i saw my first time a WTCC Race and since then, i got the Race-Fever again.

Currently i am only playing Race 07, which is a very good game in my opinion and i am looking forward to GTR Evolution.

Well, enough said, see you on track for some exciting and fair races!

Hi all

Not done this bit yet, but some of you will have raced with me already!

I am from good old England in the east midlands.

I got interested in F1 about 2004 and followed it since, Then 2005 discovered Motors tv and all the other decent championships! BTCC, WTCC, DTM, F3, ChampCar, V8's etc and got into watching these and enjoying them just as much as F1 (which does seem more interesting now, not just 1 guy in with a chance of winning the title!)

Started racing with TOCA Race Driver 2 which I thought was ace! then discovered RaceSimCentral and a review of rFactor and it was my dream come true lol!

So bought that in 2005 and bought a DFP to go with it since I found out after 2 races that keyboard or gamepad wasnt going to cut it!

Been racing online ever since.

Found you guys via Daniel Pepiet aka DrDuck lol.

PS: Good to see the FOG guys here a bit, raced with them alot on rFactor!

Hi,

I'm 40, and an Analyst Programmer from Mansfield UK (Robin Hood Country).
I love racing games of all types. I'm a member of the Trackmania GK Clan (DataBasic). I used to sim race years ago, and after a few years break, I've recently bought a G25 Wheel which has rekindled my interest in the sims again.

Look forward to seeing you all on the track

Hey club members,

my name is Andre, I'm a 34 year old programmer from Germany who loves the new Seat Leon. So I actually bought one 10 months ago when we needed a new car.

Needless to say I needed to buy Race (I have never driven a Seat Leon in any other game before) and had a helluva lot of fun playing online (Monza!) as long as no "crash kiddies" destroyed the game.

My wife just gave birth to our little son so I decided it would be a good decision to stop online shooter games and concentrate on racing games and got Race 07, hehe .. anyhow, due to the little kid in the house I can't promise to play online that often but I'll try!

Cheers for now,
Andre

Hi everyone!

My name is Christian Schegtel, I'm from Argentina and I'm 31 years old.

I've been enjoying racing sims since GPL and Viper Racing and I'm currently playing GTR2, Race07 and a few others.

I use a G25 as primary controller, but I've been experiencing problems with the shifter unit...

Anyway, I registered a few days ago and I'veen reading you a bit in silence and it seems this is the kind of place that I really like.

Regards,

/Chris

Hello all! My name is Pierre, im 17 years old and live in Sweden.
I started "playing" simgames last december when i got my first wheel, a Logitech G25. In May i bought used BRD Speed7 pedals (clutch-edition) and cant say im not happy with them
Race 07 was also my first ever bought sim, had only been drifting in LFS Demo before that with the mouse, *Dreams away*
Been racing on some of RD's public servers with very nice people on it, proven this is a really nice community
Cant wait until September when the Swedish racing league starts again

Default Hello

Hello everyone...

My name is Tim Miller, I live just outside of Flint, MI. Married with child (my daughter is a senior now) I am 37 years old. I am an avid race fan. My favorite games are race sims. I started playing race sims with PitStop for the Commodore 64. I only own Race 07 with a Logitech MOMO Force Feedback wheel. I've only been playing Race 07 for about 3 months now. I tried the demo, and fell in love with the action and realism. I think of myself as a responsible driver, sometimes I am a little agressive on the passes though, getting that position, whether it is 10th or 2nd, just the op to move up, gets my blood pumpin.
I work for Thomson/Technicolor here at the Volkswagen Group of America headquarters as a Video Engineer/Video Encoder. I do dabble in graphics every now and then.

I look forward to seeing you all on the servers.

Now I don't have to filter the list (Yay!)

Thanks again.

Tim Miller

Hi Guys real name is Nigel, and yes I do hate my parents for it. I love sim racing and have done since GP2, then came NR2K3 and then yadda, yadda, and here I am I still suck at it, but love the challenge even if its desperately trying to hold onto 24th position

Default Damnit or DustyFella - does anyone REALLY care?!

Hey all

New round these parts, so first up, hello!!

About me:
Am an Englishman living in Portugal. Techy by trade, but currently trying to look after our two kids (18 months and 3.5yrs) whilst my wife works as a freelance translator to earn us food and toy money

My interest and history in sims:
Started out "proper" sim racing/hotlapping with GPL (had Colin McRae, TOCA and the likes beforehand) ... missed a couple of years whilst travelling around, but for a few months have been back into it all with Race07 (and having a bit of offroad fun with DiRT). Just landed copies of GPL and GTR2 since they pretty much came about during my travels.

My Kit:
Am still loving my old Logi Momo Force (red) wheel, but could do with a clutch and H-Box shifter (G25 maybe when / if this breaks?).
Literally two days ago I (geekishly!) improved my "cockpit" by quickly knocking together a wooden version of the VPP "racing rack basic" ... diggin' on that, although not had much time to fully adjust or get used to it yet ... (will try to bash up pics & rough google sketch-up plans of that if anyone is interested?)

My Driving Style:
"Hard yet fair" ... I will always do my best not to wreck and to be as fair as the next bloke, but I do tend to have a racer's attitude, so don't expect to see me giving up any tarmac or places that easily ... at least until I spin-out trying!

... so there you have it, you know as much as my wife now!

Take it steady, and looking forward to getting out there with yas all ...

Later
Damnit!
AKA: DustyBloke
AKA: Lee Downham

(Will sort all that name thing out soon, probably just go by "Damnit!" in future)

Default Kimmo Tuisku

Hello racing dudes .
My name is Kimmo Tuisku. I live in Sweden
and i have wife and a kid called Magnus,he is 2 years old.
i work as a computer technician. I love racing sims and i have raced almost every racing game
from 1983 until today.Nowadays i dont race so much since i have little spare time. You can find me playing
race wtcc 07 in the late evenings. i think this game is very good since it easy to learn (compared to GPL, wich is a wonderful
game but that takes ages to be a pro) and its still a sim not an arcade game.
Then you have several tracks and cars with different feeling.
since a month ago i race almost only f3000 cars

See you on the track
Cheers

Hi folks,

My name is Bill Bailey, I am an American but currently live in Germany. I'm 48 years old, and single. Besides waiting for JGE to get into beta I enjoy racing and sim racing. I have been in various leagues with GTR, GTL, and GTR 2. I am now waiting to get GTR Evo, and hope the GT cars in it will be more evenly matched than in GTR and GTR 2.

I'm not sure if you have already started making teams for the Evo league, but will be looking for a team for that league.
