Default This is my bio from Racerregistry.com

I started out sim racing with my two brothers on our Atari 520 STE, we then moved on to the Crammond series of Grand Prix when we bought our first PC. We then moved on to Papy sims; including the first Indy Car and Nascar series of games - I then moved on all the way through to GPL.

My younger brother was the one with natural pace; he would put in a lap from nowhere. I was the one who would get there by shaving tenths off lap after lap - eventually surpassing his benchmark, only for him to bang in another lap from nowhere.

Sims I have experience of include GP1/2/3, Indycar 1&2, Nascar 1 through to 2003, Colin McRae Rally, Richard Burns Rally, Sports Car GT [EA], F1 2000 [EA], GTL, GTR and GTR2 from Simbin, Race07. TOCA 1&2. N4S - Porsche 2000, GPL and others - now I have discovered rFactor and really want to get to grips with the ALMS mod.

I guess I started sim racing on and off at around the age of 13 and haven't really looked back since.

My online racing experience is mostly with Nascar 2003. I was a member of ESCORS for a brief period of time, where I managed to grap the pole on one occassion in the grass routes feeder league to the Alienware division. My older brother was also briefly a member of ESCORS whilst my younger brother ever so often helped out with some testing.

My best result in an online league event was winning a Talledega 500 in a depleted Nascar 3 league race prior to me joining ESCORS under the banner of MAW Motorsports. That league was where I had one of my proudest online moments; when my brothers and I qualified 1st, 2nd and 4th at one race and then followed it up with 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the following race.

I have recently joined the RSC Racing Club and now run in the Friendly Driver Series. I intend to contest the up and coming Race07 WTCC championship with the team I have recently joined - Blue Flag Racing.

I really enjoy testing, this is where I probably get the most satisfaction in sim racing. Don't get me wrong - I love to race, but I am not an alien and never will be. I am not naturally someone with blistering pace. I am the guy who will happily turn 100's of laps in practice chasing that laptime or race setup. If you are ever in need of a test driver...

I am also currently a member of British Airways Virtual Airline BAVirtual.co.uk where I pilot a Level-D Simulations Boeing 767-300 ER on the VATSIM.net virtual airways.

Hi there all,
My name is Sven De Nys as you can see in my forum nickname. I'm currently 20 years old and living in the most beautiful city of the world: Antwerp !
About my love life I'm not quite sure... So I'll leave that open
I've joined the Roaring Pipes Maniacs team in late 2006 and currently I'm one of the so called "leaders"... You can find me in RACE07 and GTR2. Maybe I'll get ARCA also in a few days... Next to that I'm a official reviewer and PC-previewer for the largest Belgian gaming site called 9Lives.
As Job, I'm a technician of Elevators, maintenance and solving problems with the installations. So basicly I'm driving all day long in the busy center of Antwerp.

Well, that's about it. I'm sure that I'll see you all in my rear view mirrors on the tracks So meet you there.

Hi all!

All ready introduce my self some where else in here race department. But ill put it in here too. So, im 30 years old cnc machiner from Finland. I have girlfriend Marjo and 7 months old son Huima. Beside sims, my interest is driving poor old rwd cars onto rally cross track for fun.

Deep analysis of my sim career:
My first racing game experience was with commodore64 and games like pitstop, test drive and stunt car racers. Last one i think was the best racing game ever in 64 & amiga. Then i played with sega, mostly racing games but also nhl was very enjoyable.
When Tommi Makinen rally came out on play station one, i both my first wheel. The wheel was disaster(madCatz?) and i continue to drive with pad and with first Colin Mcrae rally. Don't know if these two came (Colin Mcrae rally 2 & Gran Turismo) out at same time but least i got them quite close together, and it was time to buy a new wheel. Don't remember what was the name of the wheel but it has "leather" rim and you have to push some buttons when loading turismo, to order to get wheel working.
Those time few of my friends have pc's and i was often play in they place, games like GP2, Sports car GT and Viper Racing.

Then it happen! I both my first pc. Only reason i both it, was a counter-strike. Mainly i played cs all the way from beta to source, but also lan racing Colin 2 and some NASCAR with side winder. In home i play the grate game named Grand Prix Legends.

After few years, my pc was no longer onto edge and no new good racing games was released and i get bored... So was my girlfriend:o Young and single i start my party period in my life.

After few wild years i find nice girl name Marjo and we move together. Lag of money, i was forced to buy playstation 2 and DFP wheel. New turismo came with the console and DFP was design for it. New turismo was disaster. There was no differential lock, only one wheel was spinning (at least i didn't find it). Toca 2 was bad too (except formula ford). Then i find Richard Burns Rally. That was (is) a good game. With NHL and RBR i was able to satisfy my gaming desire a while i was saving enough money to buy pc again.

With new pc and GTR, it was like dream come true. Spent many hours with GTR and try to learn how to make my own setups. Learn some, but not enough to be fast.

After disappointment of GTR, even with nap mod.
The GT Legends was a jackpot. Quickly learn how to drive fast and find my "own" driving style. single played legends through and could register the online key to simbin, i was getting worried. Month or two from that, i try again register legends to order to get online. All those years i never play racing game online and now i was there...And i was fast too

After on exiting legends season in Finnish racing community (alaine.dy.fi). They end up to start new season with GTR 2 and the mustang mod. Me no like. So i find RSC and the legends season was just about get started. No huge glory on there and i also find out in gpcos that in race07 has a lot of drivers. For now im particularly slow in, but that story is just beginning and i'am getting faster.....

Huh! That was my longest post i ever write... And i even didn't mention anything about size of my di...Ups! Wrong forum heh. Sorry

The main reason why im here is not those wreckers in public server, but the thing is that after first race, theres often only few cars left to start second race as most driver jump off when things wont go the way they wanted
I want that grid is full and both races are clean hard wheel to wheel battle from start to the end.

Thanks to everyone and hope someone see me in hes mirrors

Hi there, My name is Mark Jarvis (nickname is RUE MORG), I am 21 years old and I live near Portsmouth in the south of the UK.

I have been apart of another racing community for about 6 months and before that i was an xbox 360 lover. used to play Forza Motorsort for year and then decided to get a PC and start racing on some proper race sims. I am currently racing in a RACE 07 league ever other Thursday but am keen to start racing more on GTR2 and other race sims alike.

I took part in 3 (or 4) of the rounds in the RSC GTR2 league (Ramon as good as forced me to buy GTR2 ) that has just finished and enjoyed it very much. I was doing really well at the last round at Spa (came into pits in 4th with Roy Visser just in front) and then my pit crew decided not to change tires and put fuel in so i had to come back into pits the following lap

My favourite games at the moment are:
  1. rFactor (favourite mod is F1 79's)
  2. RACE 07
  3. GTR2 (i am very new to this game)
  4. GT Legends (dont play this much but love the game)
So now I hope to race with you all soon and have some great clean, close fun battles as the public servers usually do not provide this for me, although yesterday I found myself on RACE 07 in a public server having some of the best close racing I have had so far online (public and closed servers) and found out the guy i was battling with was a member of RaceDepartment (Rob Croner i think his name was)

Cheers for reading my blabbering bull**** and hope to see you all soon on track

Mark

Greetings guys!

My name is Andy Marsden (if that isn't obvious lol) I live in sunny Devon in the SW of the UK and i'm 23 (24 in May).
I have been into racing and racing video games since I was a kid though I have only raced on consoles so I am the rookiest of rookies when it comes to PC and online racing so bear with me at first.
I joined the club as I was looking for a pleasant, friendly and wrecker free online racing experience (i've heard a lot of bad stories regarding non club online racing).
Not much more to say really though I do look forward to racing with you guys and as long as Amazon don't make any mistakes I will hopefully be able to make it to Spa on Friday evening!

Laters

Hi everyone,

Bit new to all this racing stuff, been a simple FPS person up until now on the PC. I've played alot of GT on the Playstations but nothing compares to race 07 which I recently purchased. I've been missing out!

My apologies if I do hit anyone accidentally on the games, I'm new with a wheel and haven't quite got the hang of it yet and I also I like to have a few beers when I play so as the evening goes on keep your distance ;) lol

Have been driving race Sims for 2 years, starting with Toca2-3 then when GTR2 came out I rapidly swiched over to real sims
Theses days am I admin at Flatoutracing club,
Working as server dude, running our GTR2 game server.
Member of a race team called Team Swesco, we are 3 drivers, and have had pretty good results, we drives a 90 min league race every weekend,
Had also the oppurtunity to be a driver at Swe sim Racers Team R-Aces with Roland Ehnström as team manager.
Driving at division 3 with an alien team m8 Rickard Erik Johanson who was 3rd at Sim Challenge NGT yesterday
I wish I had the pace of my alien swedish team m8s,
So is not the case, but I training hard to get faster, And it gives much help to be in a team with speed and good knowledge how to drive the tracks.

Hi,

I'm Phil Woodward's teammate in Lastplace Racing, a team that he founded for nKP. I started simracing in March 06 in GPL, shifting entirely to nKP when it was released a month later. I started GTR2 in October 07, RACE07 in late December.

I live in South Mountain, Ontario, about an hour south of Ottawa, Canada, and about 2 hours southwest of Montreal. I'm a little on the senior side (54), but thanks to the guys in the Lastplace team have made definite progress. Quite impressed with the positive and friendly attitude of the organizers of the RaceDepartment.

Looking forward to when Blimey! releases Project Falcon, and of course to the new RACE07 add-on.
