hi o/ ;)

Well, it wasn't acutally a brand new car, but it still gave me alot of money :>
I sold the BMW, because I was 16 years old (I had to wait nearly 2 years) and it's just too expensive to keep this car as first car when you are student.

They drove the car around 10 month through germany to show it to all the people out there at the event stopps. So, it had around 18000 kilometers, but it was still an amazing prize and especially an amazing event ;)

I really enjoyed to cruise together with Nick Heidfeld through Munich

So, all in all it was just amazing ;>

And yea, so far i love this community (: All these crazy Sim-Racers out there are so great! ;) And it's nice to meet some guys out of here on Saturday in brno!

Hi!

My name is Thomas, 36 years old, looking for a new job. But when i don't i usually Race alot of simracing. I am definitly not the fastest, but i know my way around, both when in front (it do happens!) as well in midpack. (I could say this now, after my first race you might not belive me).

Living in sweden with my german shepard (for you k9 impaired, thats a dog). Training him as well as spending time outside is what i mostly enjoy. Having a stressfull job (wanting something else. se above ;) )and beeing able clean my thoughts some hours before the screen racing, or training "him", is really what keeps me (in)sane (take a pick).

Never raced online before i joined up with SimHQ motorsports 2 years ago. A great bunch to race with. But one of my motorsports love is *TCC or GT racing. And not beeing able to race that as much made me look for some other venues of racing. My eyes has been on you for a while but i have never committed due to life events...

If you think i spell like a chimp. Youre probably right! ;)

G'day. Wally from Australia. I played all the NFS titles, thought the Porsche stuff was pretty cool. Powerslide was heaps of fun. I bought my first wheel just to play Powerslide. Then I got hard core with the TOCA/RaceDriver titles :-/. Then... I played the GTL demo. I did about a million laps in the Elan around Dijon and was hooked. I raced GTL in a league for a couple of years, flirted briefly with GTR2, and have been racing Race07 this year. I also gave Richard Burns Rally a good slog for a while. I still have a soft spot for GTL - I love the old cars and the way they sound in the game.

In the real world, the closest I get to racing is watching V8 supercars and the WRC on TV.

Hello to all

my name is Dave and i'm an alco...

ooops,sorry wrong place

seriously,my name is Dave,i am 36 and i live in a small town called Bicester which is 10-12 miles from Oxford in the UK.

i have been into online racing since December 2006,GTL to be precise,i was,and still am in a league that races GTL on a wednesday and friday evening GMT,currently a mini league on wednesday and tc-65 on a friday. superb fun. this is with a forum known as GBsimracing.co.uk

i then scouted round for more as i was addicted after a few hours of close, clean racing and came across Simjunkies.org which totally dominated my life, they co-erced me to get rFactor and GTR2, it didn't take much persuasion lol

i then saw an advertisemnet for Race:WTCC, i got it on steam as soon as it was released, but there were very few leagues/fun races for it as people seemed to get to grips with it. i then had some great racing in a public server with a few guys who directed me to RPM.net, i did and had some great if disappointing races, mainly due to the fact i was using an x-box controller and, whilst it was ok,it let me down most of the time.

then i got myself a G25 last year, although at first i nearly sold it again as i couldn't get it set up to my liking,it just felt wrong no matter what i tried.

after talking with some people who had had theirs for a while advised me what to adjust,i did it and have never looked back, and i've got it set up so that it feels like a real car in most sims.

of course, they then released Race07,which was a must have for me,and i think it is a truly great sim.

i currently run in an SJ league but it is only every 2 weeks which is not enough for me, i would race every night if the better half allowed it lol

my real life racing experience only stretches to banger racing which i did from the age of 11-18 running various cars from, dare i say it, mk2 and mk10 jags, mk1 and mk2 ford granada's, rover SD1 V8's

i am looking forward to racing here again,so long as it is feasible timewise.

as i am a lorry driver and need my beauty sleep,as i usually have to start work for 0400 am GMT. only mon-fri though.

sorry,very longwinded lol

Dave

Hi folks,
My name is Damien,im 37 and from a small town in Co Kildare in the South of Ireland.
Ive only recently got back into simracing after a year or so away and only just finished installing all my sims again.
I started simracing many years ago and have quite literally played everything out there.
At one stage when i had more time,[e before my 2 little kids were born] i completed in a few GPL and nascar racing 2003 leagues.
I do play other genres on my pc,ie MMO and FPS titles but simracing is in my blood i feel.
I did race formula Vee when i was in late 20s,mostly around my local Mondello park,i grew up in that place
Infact i done some saturday testing at Mondello up until i smashed up my leg in a work accident, that was the end of racing vehicles of any sort
I now get my racing fix from pc simracing.

Sitting on my hard drive i have
GTR 1 and 2
rFactor
GT Legends
Live for speed
Nascar 2003
GPL
Race 07

iRacing shall join them soon

These days i dont have time to commit to leagues etc but would dearly love to find race regularly on clean servers hence why i found my way here

Since you enjoyed Nascar 2003, you might want to look at ARCA which is growing here at RaceDept. We have regular Racing Club Events with ARCA and I believe it is a very good game. Sadly, not available in my country yet though.

Hello Cully,

welcome to Race Department

To answer your questions:

Yes you can buy it only online and it will be shipped via postal services. You can order your copy here: Sim Factory, LLC - A software development company.

The Sim Factory is shipping to Ireland and I expect a shipping time of 14 working days! I hope that helps. If you have more questions, please don´t hestitate to post your questions in the appropriate ARCA Sim Racing forum here at Race Department.

So see you on track soon Cully :bike:

Hello everyone,

My name is Yassen Pavlov. I'm from Sofia, Bulgaria. I just graduated in CS at the Technical University of Vienna and started work as a sysadmin in my home town .

Maybe racing games were 1 on the 1st things I got hooked on when I was very young. I still remember the sleepless nights I've spend with grand prix and lotus 2.

By the end of 98 I got my copy Colin Mcrae Rally and I was absolutely addicted. For a few years I was really enjoying the followups and I was having great fun, but then reality hit me pretty hard. I left for another country to study and I never expected it to be that hard. For the last 4 years in between fixing people's pcs for a living and studying theoretical informatics and data modeling I had absolutely no free time.

Then 2 weeks ago we were shopping around with my girlfriend when I enetered a computer shop and I saw the logitech g25. There was no known force in this unverse that could've stopped me from buying it. An hour later I was in front of my pc looking for what current racing sims there are right now. 30 minutes more and I was in my virtual cockpit in race07. I was left speechless and breathless. I can't imagine that racing sims got so much better. I can barely remember how my girlfriend was asking me if I don't think it a good idea to go to bed when she woke up next morning. Now I understand what I was missing.

Funny thing is that I was never hooked on real racing. I even got my driving license 4 years later then I could have. but my brother is insane when it comes to racing. He even has a tuned Reno 5 that I tried to drive 2 times and I almost killed myself with it :ambulance:.
Anyway I think nothing comes close to the thrill of driving out of the pit lane and switching of the reality around you for the track in front of you.

Apart from that you can consider me a beginner simer. But I'm stubborn and I practice allot so I hope that I'll be on par with the rest of you soon.

Thanks For the great community. I'm sincerely impressed by what you have created and I'm glad to be part of it.

See you on the track every one

hello everyone,

first thing, sorry for my weak english.

My name is László Miskoczi, 29 years old from Szeged, Hungary. I started play with computer on Commodore 16, about 6 years old and my first "simulation" there is Hungaroring. My favorite games is car simulation, first serious for me Grand Prix 2. Online started with Grand Prix Legend's, one of the best and hardest sim. After this game, GTR2(played w Lboyongo nick) and Race07 is easy driving

See you all!

heya, some of you know me some don't. I'm from Poland the north-west part of it. I started my adventure with sim-racing with arcade game Race Driver 2 where I met some of the current champions, and best sim-racers I've ever met. For some reasons I couldn't becaome one because I prefered cutting grass and enjoy the great views on tracks, where I should focus on racing. I had a break with racing and now I decided t try it once again. So Hope to see you on track in RACE 07 Cheers Maciek
