Need some help here.

I ask this question before but got no reply and the first race is coming up very soon now.

I downloaded the Watkins Glenn track fron N-G and installed it.
The track is loding about 90 % and then stops.
When a touch a button the game will shut down and i need to restart the game.
Anyone got a suggestion ?

All I can thing of is a corrupt download? Maybe try re-downloading or just re-installing it? Sorry I cant be more of a help.

i know this may be a bit to much...but did you try reinstalling full game?.....then installing the tracks/skin

(it can also be somewhere you have a bad/corrupt skin)

Hi Wido,

Can you please verify you have downloaded the correct version (v1.0 All Layouts by DutchDevil)
Then verify if you have extracted it to the right location; in GTR2 it has to be:
..\GTR2\GameData\Locations\Watkins

(in this Watkins folder you will see some *.gtr files and 3 subfolders (WatkinsGlen_GP; WatkinsGlen_Long; WatkinsGlen_NASCAR))

Yes , i downloaded the version on NG from dutchdevil that say`s al version and they are installed into the gamedata/locations folder.
I did a new install of the game aswell and copied just the watkins glen track to the locations folder.
So there is just 1 adon track in the game, but still the track wont load and the game freezes up.

But....do i need to put the full download folder name in the locations folder ?
I mean, the downloaded track has a very long name "watkins glenn bla bla bla.
In that folder there is a new folder with just the name watkins.

I have taken the watkins folder out of the watkins glenn bla bla bla folder and put that one into the locations folder.

Or do i need the long folder name in the locations folder ?

here i have one folder in location that says Watkins
& in that folder i have subfolders WatkinsGlen_GP/_Nascar/_long + 4 other .gtr files

see if you have it like that

edit: Wido you only need the one folder called Watkins & put that into the location folder (the different types of watkins glen version will be put as subfolders in the Watkins folder)....it should work then ;)

I did like you say Chris and it workt.
But after a put some backt-up files back into the game it whas hopeless again.
So tomorow a gonna try to figure out wich files are corrupted and dump them.

it's most likely a car folder......if it is incorrect...then you will get an error

Yes, make sure you don't connect with a custom skin. The server has currently no custom skins installed for the Gillet.

Once Roy is ready with the pack we will install them. Only before the Race, not pre-qualify.

Btw, GTR2 does need both skins on all clients + server in order to use them. Race07 only needs skins on the client. (and on other clients if they want to see your skin, but not necessary)
