++ My first points after finishing for the first time

-- Just like on Watkins I got stop n go for speeding in pitlane. At Watkins it happened every time I went in for the stop n go until I had to quit. Tonight I got only one (which is bad enough, and I really do not understand why I get it cause I have no speed at all in pitlane...)and although the chances of avoiding last place was gone I kept going and first points won

And thanks everyone for passing me nicely :sign0098:

Qualify: Went as I expected, Started in the back rows.
Race: had a very fun race. had a great threeway fight at some point, cant remember with who, but thanks for the fight. I ended that fight by overdriving in the last cornor ending front first in the wall. Car was sligthly damaged and I drove one secs slower lap times. Pitted quite early and gained a few spots. After 10-20 laps I catched up to a car that had lapped me in pits, and I was stuck behind that car for a couple of laps, but eventually able to make my way around it. Riding with my teammate Peter Madsen close behind me for a couple of laps until he got pushed off. Caugth another "frontmarker" car. I was stuck behind him for several laps trying to go around him, hoping he would give me some space as I was much faster than him. After 10 or so laps I was again much faster than him during the last cornors, but I didnt expect him to dive infront of me. So I tapped him off. A half a lap after this my radiator or something blew, so Christopher, I'm to blame for you not getting your fith because of the smoke. I tried to limp back to pits hoping I could salvage a position better than last place. I finish 20'th. In retrospect, I should have retired as soon as the radiator blew.

Roy Carless: I'm truly sorry to tapping your rear. I know I was a backmarker to you. But you were one lap ahead, so you would have lost nothing be letting me by as soon you were aware that I was this much faster than you. I had a good shot at catching up to the one infront of me. That would have been very gentlemen driving. Same goes for the other frontmark holding us backmarkers back.

Otherwise thanks for a great evening.

grats kevin and James

really good racing guys....

I have to say that I'm pissed with myself, went out with the wrong setup. I only realized it after 10 laps or so when I saw my engine life go down like crazy, so had to stop pushing, and just hope for the best, in the end I finished with 58% engine life left. All in all not a bad result.

Started 11th with a normal poor qual effort from me,before the start i was going to go for a no stopper, then like a fool believed the garage fuel gauge telling me it wouldnt make it,from the start i noticed bags of extra pace on the guys ahead,i made an early pass up to 10th,then couldnt get past Ramon for many laps, not in a respectful safe manner anyway, eventually did get past with the assistance of Ramon, thanks for making that room available for me m8 ,caught up to Christopher rapidly, and he let me go past with no fight, but then could easily hang on to me,i was up to 2nd place when i pitted, just done fuel as the mediums i started with felt good enough to finish with, gradual pace drop off towards the end i could only manage to hold 9th place, but with all the superb respectful close racing going on i am happy enough with that .

Many Thanks RD organisers for your time and efforts here .

Congratulations all the very deserving podium guys

Grats to Kevin for the win and Luis and James for the 2nd and 3rd spot.

I got 4th and very pleased!
My first Vertigo race (PC Freeze at the startgrid of Watkins | Vacation during Hock Nat).

Race pace was far from good. I heard about engine troubles so was going for safe rather then speed. Decreased revs by 200 and raised radiator duct with 1. In the end my engine status was decreased from 95% to 93% over the whole race. Bad idea
Due to this I think was 0.5 per lap too slow.

Start went well, no incidents around me. Tony T was immediately on the limit and could not defend my position. Back to 7th place. Gary Lennon was also faster but could defend good. Very nice and gentleman driving of him not to force his way inside/around me. Respect!
After 10-15? laps I missed the apex at the chicane losing momentum, Gary could slip on the inside and I was in no position to defend in a fair way for T1 so let him by. Nice driving mate!
At 8th position people started to do pitstops. After a while I was in 2nd position.
The top drivers Luis and James were closing in fast. Luis was at least a second faster Jamer around a second. Let both pass without defending with 25 mins left on the clock. I was already pleased to drive in the Top5
I saved my tires during the whole race, try to avoid locking etc. This brought me my 4th spot at S/F.

My teammate Nigel finished the race also on 19th position. Well done mate. Also your first finished Vertigo race yooooo

Had an incident with a backmarker, but have to see the replay who was in the wrong position.

PS. Christopher, The TS was not disturbing at all. I was on ignore mode

Grats to Kevin and Luis.

My quali was good, 4th place again, but made a big mistake heating the tyres up on lap 2 / 3 and lost the back under braking..then got bogged in the gravel trap. Finally got out, but rejoined in about 18 place, so had loads of work to do. Had a few great fights trying to overtake, think I was upto about 11 / 12 when I pitted. Came out with the leaders which was not good. Think the incident Ramon you refer to was with me, sorry if think I was being aggressive, but I thought I got a good clean pass into the last chicane, then you turned in and we bumped. I honestly thought I was passed you. After that was just a matter of putting the hammer down with a clear track. Was lapping in the high 1.08's / low 1.09's for quite a few laps, and was able to get 8th place in the end. Also, apologies if I caused anyone any issues after my pitstop, came round the 1st corner and had no drive, so was stopped on inside of track.....took about 10 seconds to find the problem...chuffing lead for pedals had come out of my wheel housing....doh!!!!

Apologies accepted; will not file a complaint
Btw, Next time just send some signals with the headlights that you are trying to unlap yourself. Saves us both lots of time. I think I was 4th at that time and you 11-13th?

Anyway, congrats with your 8th place. i guess you did the last part with soft tires? 1.08/1.09 wow.

Thanks Ramon, yip started soft front / rear, and changed them on lap 38 I think to same tyres. I also did not want to flash my lights frantically, as thought that would just annoy you!!

Grats to kevin and Luis,

Well that went with a bang .

had a great qual, felt realy good and did a clean fast lap, very happy with 5th place behind my teammate.

First tird of the race was very nice, could lap consistend until tyers where abit worned and i get locking up front brakes. Had christopher behind me for quit some laps, was attacked almost each laps by him and we had some great moments. Tried to defend as clean as possble and leave room if he was next to me. Loved that part, my goal was to defend as long as possible until the pitstop when i could get some new tyers. Hope i was fair there christoper, not always easy to gudge where the other one is as it is in the blindspot of the mirror.

After my pitstop i had to ease off as my engine was dying more and more. But all what i tried to do the health still dropped until it went out with a bang.

Great race guys, loved each part of it (apart from the bang )

Ah nice, i was impressed with your driving i must say, its easy to loose patients after so many try's certainly when someone is pushing you. I try alway to leave room if i know someone is next, offcourse I can't leave the door completly open .
Remember we went side by side through the last corners and then you tried a move in the first corner and outbraked and i could catch you back. Nice piece of driving, lol, some laps later you did got me in that first corner. These moments i remember, and that is why i love racing so much.

ok race. 1st stint couldnt get past aponte and some1 else for a long time.
then to pits. went ok, came to track behind leader and got past him, made some
distance and wishing that he would pit, which he didnt, lol.
aponte was stuck behind leader car for a few laps so made good progress there,
pretty safe 5th spot at that moment i figured...until...
some dude, backmarker, blocked me for 2 or 3 rounds, not letting me to pass, ffs.
lost my advantage to aponte right there and rest laps were horrid pushing as we raced
to the finish line.
aponte got past me, and i didnnt like the style how he did it, so i became lil mad
myself and kinda let him have it too.
btw, are we allowed to switch racing line multiple times when some1 tries to overtake?
what about if you make mistake and just come back to track and just block even
when speed difference is very big?
