Here are some of the videos from a race series I organise. They get better through the rounds so don't be put off by the Benny Hill music.

One thing I think I should point out is that not everyone racing in this series could be described as skilled. Indeed we have some people to whom racing is not truly a passion and as such we have tried to reward their efforts with bonus like Crash of the Day and points for rolling the car, even points for not being lapped too often. In fact the videos were originally instigated just to show these moments so we could vote on them. The videos though developed into more than that and as you'll see get bigger and carry more the story of the race. Enjoy, feel free to criticise too.

HCC1

HCC2

All the rules and descriptions are on the site too so have a look around (this is not a recruitment drive, we have limited server resources and are pretty much at that limit now, so we are not looking for new entrants), there a certain amount of the humour that will pass over your head because it is group related. The web guru sort of dropped off the radar so HCC2 is incomplete and there is nothing there for this year's racing on GTR2 in the M3 GTRs. We have produced videos for these though but they are up on an ftp and I am not sure if I have permission to give that link out, sorry. This year's racing has been awesome but that's a different forum (GTR2).

Thanks for these video's Richard, gave me plenty of smiles and laughs. I especially loved the Cadwell one, that lake has had some very high profile visitors. I have seen some of the best drivers around go for a swim there. Me too , most didn't even know it was there until that dreaded moment.

GTL can produce some classic crash material, not easy to drive some of these hey.
I really like the way your group has turned it into a lot of fun.

Yeah, like I said we are mixed ability/interest in racing (as a group we are multigaming, FPS, RTS, MMO) so we have to make it fun for all. We are racing Exiges next year in GTR2 and in a team format then possibly looking at moving to GTR:E/Race07 for 2010. Not all our drivers are sim freaks so we need a year for the price to drop to bargain basket price so we can insist they go buy it.

Default GT 40 Madness at Zolder

I couldn't resist this one. This is the most hilarous start sequence to a race, and only those who have tried to race these GT 40 brutes can appreciate how easy this is to do.
As we wait for the green flag, we rev these thumping engines up nicely, ready to "ease" the clutch and throttle gently enough to get the beast away in a straight line.

Hans gets a touch anxious and hits the gas a whisker too hard, and promptly spears sideways into Amir who has hardly moved yet.

Amir now starts his own doughnut as a result of Hans "encouragement".

And despite all this, Amir still manages to hunt me down and take the lead after 8 laps.

Cheeky plug for a photo collection, that will be expanded this week, featuring all your GTL favourites plus a few more from the Masters Top Hat Race Series event at Mallory Park on 26.10.2008. Video to follow. Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing Simon, great stuff (so far), looking forward to the rest.

PS: Are you sure that unknown Falcon driver wasn't Yoeri or Jerome or Ben.

My suspicions were aroused but after a stomp around paddock post race, no-one answered to those names. (I think Ben may have been hiding round the burger van.)

Some 70's stuff added, more later, it's 2am, long day, need sleep. But more to come, promise, the 50's were phenomenal.

Here seems as a good a place as any to start posting my videos from last weekend at Mallory Park. Very amateur affairs to go with me pics in the Motorsports pics section.

1960's Race.... 50's and 70's to follow.

I forget these were on file. I had to try the Rally Trophy 1st, sorry for the mix up. Now to mix it as a Trial driver, can't wait!

Default Having a Cobra 'moment.'

So far so good

Getting tricky

Getting sideways/About to fall out of car

Lifting the front wheels

Bum! Makes a nice little off-roader!
