Default Top Gear test track

Made by RMI mod group with permission. Your chance to be a star is a very unreasonably priced car

Ahh cool ... got the GTR2 version of this (but only managed about 10 laps to date)

... the SimJunkies folks do an "arse in a reasonably priced car" competition with this track in GTR2 every so often - they have Ventrillo (like teamspeak) switched on, car is not announced before the event (so no practising) but it is selected from the default car list.
Each person then waits in the paddock then takes it in turn to drive up to the start line and do one hot "sudden death" style quali lap from a standing start ... any mistakes etc and its tough luck, no second chance.

Never done it but sounds like a good laugh ...

As someone who has competed in this with simjunkies, i can assure you it is superb fun, with ventrillo the banter is hilarious, with names drawn at random it is very good for a laugh

last nights session was with the vertigo in the rain, slick tyres,no set-up adjustments only steering lock, awesome fun.IMO the best track available lol

Dave

Driving around this track, i went off road to look for any funny secrets, sadly there are none.

Do you remember that long track for GPL that had secrets on it?

If this is for GTR Evo, does this mean that it'll work in Race 07 as well, even if you don't have GTR Evo?

I believe it should, since Race 07 tracks work fine in Evo.
Nothing has changed so give it a go.

With the WTCC cars I've set a low 1.15 in a Chevy and my first lap in a BMW was a 1.14.7.

I think they are making the RMi Plaza which is a huge oval.

We should all agree on a car and stick to that for posted times.

That way, we'd get a powerboard, or possibly 2 powerboards - 1 for dry, 1 for wet.

I'd vote for the 200bhp Caterham, as it's not too powerful, difficult to manhandle around corners, a bit understeery like I'd imagine the Reasonably Priced Car actually is and no aero aids.

Thoughts?
