Default Helmet design

I find it very tricky to do any specific design at the very top of the helmet that is not a predefined pattern (or solid) covering a larger area. Anyone got a solution? For example if I would like to make lines coming from back, front and both sides joining at the very top of the helmet. How do I do that without "trial and horror"?

NOT... You've to do trial and horror!

Then you know how the design works.... Takes some time but i don't have a better solution.

took me 2,5hours to build a helmet and its still not really what i want.

And then I would really find it neat to have an application for helmet display rather than from the game where you don't really see the helmet especially good in the non open wheelers.

Follow this thread Krister.

Sooner or later there will be the helmet for a program called Carviewer. You can view your helmet there and see mistakes and make changes, before you import it into the game.

I created my helmet in a open-wheeler and then fixed it for the closed cars

using photoshop and window modus on the game

Thnx, this looks promising. I've not looked at the Carviewer before. Looks like I have to take some time doing that rather than popping in and out of race07 to see the result when creating car skins.

Open fotoshop or whatever you use.
Open Race07 in windowed modus.
with Ctrl+f5 you can reload the skins

so now you can make adjustments in photoschop and see the result in R07

but maybe carviewer is even easier to use... I always thought i looked a bit funny though!.
