Yes the color change is due to your light setup. But either way it still looks good.

in GTR evo the weels will be unlocked for painting as you can see by checking the .txt file in the customskin folder
[Aston Martin DBRS9] body= windows_ext= windows_int= driver= ext_driver= helmet= wheelcolor= now anyone have a clue if it will work for the WTTC cars too ??

So far the "Wheelcolor" line is not attached to the original skins for race 07. It looks like its only works on certain skins within EVO.
You can change the wheelcolor within Race 07 but as of yet the only way I know is by decrypting the game files, No one as of yet has come forward with a quicker soloution.
