About customs skins

I see other forum have GTR-E customs skins,
How to do that?,
I can not on Templates folder found about GTR psd,

The painters are doing them without templates Mtommi. It's possible, but extremely time consuming and fiddly.

The official templates should be around next week or so.

if you start with a .dds that is already done, then remove the stuff you don't want, then start to add the things you do, you are done.... very slow...

As Stuart and Gunthar have pointed out you can indead paint directly onto the DDS, But bare in mind. Anything you alster will be above the shading level and therefore stick out like a sore thumb.

Really your better of waiting for the offical templates. Not long to go now.

As an experiment, last night I started investigating how to decrypt the dds files, then created a parts layer so that I didn't paint over it ...
but as the others say, man its painful!!
(and sorry, was tired so its bit of an ugly example, I just bashed a few things on to the car to see whether my theories worked)

As you can see from the screenshot, the chevy x ain't that easy ... it seems that there is another dds for the front wings somewhere that I now need to find and paint

Not figured out the ini settings properly yet either ... this one is in place of a default R.Huff car.
