SIMBIN STUDIOS ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL WEBSITE FOR GTR EVOLUTION ALONG WITH A FLAMING HOT INGAME VIDEO

Apply the sunblock! SimBin Studios AB announced today that the flaming in-game video trailer for GTR Evolution has been released.

In the second half of August 2008 GTR Evolution will take GT and WTCC Extreme cars to Nordschleife, the holy grail of racing also known as “the Green Hell”.
Check out the hot video trailer and some cool screenshots at:

www.gtr-evolution.com

About GTR Evolution for PC
GTR Evolution contains 5 new classes of the finest cars with a total of 30 new models to race. In the GT classes players can experience legendary cars like the Corvette C6R, Aston Martin DBR9, BMW M3 GTR, Koenigsegg CCGT and Spyker GT2R.
Even more exciting are the all-new WTCC Extreme cars. These are pumped up fictional WTCC car designs developed by SimBin in cooperation with the FIA WTCC, and are exclusive to GTR Evolution.
The racing thrills continue with the Production Car Class featuring the street versions of the Audi R8, Dodge Viper SRT/10, Koenigsegg CCX and Gumpert Apollo. Overall, GTR Evolution offers 49 unique cars in 12 classes with more than 500 variations as well as 19 tracks in over 40 different layouts including the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Features
In-Game File sharing to up- and download setups or ghost files while being in the game.

Race-line in Time-Trial is a feature inspired by the Race-line in GTR2 but features more options. There are distinctive brake-markers to indicate braking points, the game can now show two Race-lines simultaneously. These Race-lines including their ghost-files and setups can be up- or downloaded in-game as well.

Upgraded Replay system with the possibility to not only save the full replay after the race but also the instant replays that can be viewed during the race.

Nationality indicator for the player-profile will now be equipped with a flag and a country indicator following the player throughout the game.

Game modes
Championship functionality for full integration of the GT cars to run an endurance championship as well as a touring car championship. This functionality is also added to the Custom Championship, allowing the player to mix in the GT cars and WTCC Extreme cars with the other content.

Distribution
GTR Evolution is distributed by Atari in Europe, Viva Media in the US, Akella in Russia, QV software in Australia and Zoo in Japan. The release is set for the second half of August 2008.

Very good news and it seems from the FAQ that pit stops have had a major overhaul

Unfortunatelly Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche and Lamborghini are out of GTR Evo. Too bad for me. I love the NGT´s. But what is NGT´s without Ferraris and Porsches?

I´ll buy it anyway...

I wallpapered the screenshot of the Karussell and have placed it on my desktop. This shot is just unbelievably good. Check the writings on the tarmac! Senna is back!

I really hope they make a custom Car filter where you can pick what cars, not just what classes.

Wow, see all this stuff:

Quote:
Q: How does the pitstops work?
A: Pitstops are reworked, you can plan strategy before the race and also make changes during the race while on track.

Q: I'm going into pits, the pitmenu pops up, what now?
A: If you had preset and are happy with the actions marked with green colour, just push the button mapped for "menu select" to confirm actions. If you didn't have preset you have to do the changes you want manually, very important is that only the actions marked with green colour will be performed.

Q: How can I know what damaged parts needs fixing?
A: The pitmenu is usefull with this too, damaged parts are marked with red colour in the pitmenu.

Q: I received stop/go penalty but fuel is running out, can the penalty be served later?
A:
Yes, there is "postpone stop/go" option in the pitmenu, confirm this and you can perform normal pitstop instead of stop/go. Remember that the stop/go must be served inside 3 laps you got it, otherwise you will be black flagged.
Q: I dont have control of the car in pitlane, why is that?
A: There is autopit on/off option in main menu game settings, and in garage realism settings. This is enabled by default and its active in all the sessions including offline practice. You can disable it and have full control off the car in the pitlane.

Q: What are pitmenu presets for?
A: With presets you can decide how much fuel you want, change tires or not, fix damage or not before the race. Presets are class specified so you can use saved presets with all the cars in the same class.

Q: Why does the pitmenu have "pit in request" instead of "confirm" button when called while on track?
A: This is usefull option to give the pits a heads up you are about to come in, confirm the request and you will see "pit in" icon. Requested pitstops are also slighty faster compared to unrequested stops.

Q: Is the fuel amount chosen in preset/pitmenu added to the tank or the amount you have left in tank after the stop?
A: The amount chosen will be added to what was in tank before enterting pits.

Y@Y Truly a thing of Beauty...

Pity tho about the NGT part ie: Porsche and Ferrari? Strange that don't you all think?

But maybe we'll be able to grab some from GTR2, and Mod them who knows?

I Know this tho I Can Not Wait ! ! ! ! !
