Support for Vista x64

Hi all,

since i´m not able to get GTR2 running under Vista 64bit, I want to know from all of you, if there is an alternative or official patch available which makes this game working under Vista 64bit.

GTR2 Works for me under x64 but I have to use a nocd .exe which can be found at nogrip.

GTR2 works fine for me under Vista x64 with the original DVD even without compatibility mode. But have you tried that?

Works fine here as well on Vista x64 - but I've only tried it with the no cd patch.. don't know if that is important.

It is caused by the Starforce protection.

Vista 64 bit needs another driver, you can find info here:

Oh no... Star Force. That crap that also GTL comes with..... A GTL install once destroyed my entire Vista once so maybe i´ll try a NOCD.. Though isn´t this illegal? And I cannot play online anymore with this?

As far as I'm aware nocd isn't illegal to use as long as you own the game.

GTR works fine here, with and without the nocd ...
(on 64bit vista)

GTL is not compatible with Vista. That's what ATARI told me. No tweaks.

Im pretty sure that GTR2 uses securom, NOT Starforce. GTR2 works fine under Vista 64bit - pretty much anyone i can think of that owns it has got it to work fine with Vista.

GTL and GTR however both use Starforce which means you need to update the drivers or it will stop Vista from booting properly - and of course the game wont run either.

You are right they changed it, only GTR has Starforce, GTR2 not, here GTR2 runs great too on 64bit.

Oh okay. Well i´ve reinstalled it entirely and made sure everything was deleted. Now it works without any problem. I don´t understand why this happened and sometimes you will not know it at all or you get mad

I have this game under vista 64 but i dont have install particular patch or other the game work soo good

I use it under vista 64 and the only problem that i had if im not wrong was the fact the dvd wasnt accepted by the system . Anyways i use the no cd patch. Works like a charm now.
