It looks like I've been a good boy this year, because yesterday evening Santa Claus brought me my G25 finally !!! I'm really liking it ... Just need to get used to the wheel, after transferring from a Rumblepad...

Just tested on Nurburgring and drove some 2:25.3xx... First laps with the G25.. Don't know if that's good yet!

This is what i posted to him:

Warren asked me to help you and here is what you can do.

1. Remove all old logitech drivers, try to do this in safe mode (hit F8 during boot and start in safe mode)

2. Reboot pc and install one of these drivers, depending on the os you use 32 or 64 bit.

Vista 32 bit version:
http://www.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/joystick/lgs501.exe

Vista 64 bit version:
http://www.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/joystick/lgs501_x64.exe

3. Reboot again and be sure the wheel is connected and also powered.

4. Be sure you don't run the Logitech software whlie you use the wheel, i think the logitech gaming software will be run when you boot up the pc so remove them from startup or from registry. If you don't know how to do that just contact me.

5. In control panel game controllers be sure you set no combining axes.

6. Put the all forces slider on 101% and 270 degrees rotation.
The 2 other sliders i have on 0%

7. Enable centerspring but be sure it is set at 0%.

Then go to the controller file, in GTR2 it's the plr file and in race it's a separate controler ini file.

8. Set this value:
FFB Steer Damper Coefficient - "-0.175" [note it is changed to a negetive value]

9. Safe the file and be sure in race you slect the controller profile with the adjusted setting.

Leave FFB on medium or low and try the force feedback.

If you want to tweak FFB settings you can do this in the controller ini files, here are the values you need to adjust to your own feeling to get better steering response:

Basic values

FFB Gain (if I go over .65 on this with my G25 it gets hard to tweak out the center roughness)
FFB steer force max change
FFB steer force output max
FFB steer force exponent (basically works with FFB Gain)

Tire Grip

FFB steer force input max
FFB steer force grip function
FFB steer force grip weight

Stiffness

FFB steer friction coefficient
FFB steer friction saturation

I hope your problem can be solved now and you will enjoy the G25.

I hope it can help him.

Hi Warren,

I was looking for this ( http://www.speedyshare.com/268799447.html )

from Marcel Hulsbergen I think must be a setup of G25 wheel, I tried to go in to this web site but there is a zipG25 but already deleted.

I am not sure that you have seen that or not, because I need a good setting for G25.

Thanks a lot Warren

Jojo

By the way Jojo, regarding my profile.
This profile is to give you my Force feedback Settings.
You may have to remap the keys and buttons in the Controller menu of Race 07 to suit your preferences. You may also want to adjust the Force Feedback Strength to suit your preference as well, mine is fairly light as I don't like it to be too heavy.

Warren, ok I know thank you, but I am using quite light too, and I don't like heavy too, and anyway how is your real Mini Cooper, I still have my Volkswagen Golf GTI M2 and this year is already 20 years old.

I have my G25 now for two years, and i get the feeling that my throttle pedal is starting to spike a little. Anybody else has the same?

Yes. My throttle went haywire just before the two years were up. The original G25 had a two year warranty and they replaced mine with a new one.
The replacement G25 (and all current models) has only a one year warranty, so check your box if you still have it.

I still have the original pedals, and have tested them occasionaly and surprisingly they work fine a lot of the time, but every now and then I lose all power.
I can fix it temporarily by reconnecting the USB or putting it in a different USB slot. Have you tried that?

G25 FFB Problem

I changed to Vista X64 from XP 32bit on Saturday and when i went to try out GTR2 the force feedback ingame was really messed up. I put the newest drivers on and put my usual settings on and had the same ingame settings - but it feels completely different. Its as if the force feedback only works if you go really fast or if you only turn a certain amount, other than that it just feels light and springy. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem, because if it carries on it will most likely put me out of the WTCC League.

have you checked the ffb settings in game, and on the advanced contoller settings in windows?

Maybe ffb sensitivity?

Never had any problems like that with mine.

There is a hotkey to reset FFB settings in the game, if i am not mistaken Alt+F or Ctrl+F, try that while driving on the track.

G25 FF???

Hi all

I have my g25 logitech since last year and i used it for PS3.
The Force feedback did not work, but they told me that it was
not possible with the formula 1 game. But, with Race 07 or any other
games it does not work too.
Has anyone had this problem?
I need help for it because it's really.. SHIT driving without feeling what your car is doing. That's why also i can't drive a BMW in Race 07, cause i don't feel when the rear is moving.

Thanks

A G25 owner will correct me if Im wrong, Im sure you can test the forcefeedback from the logitech control panel. Also you have made sure the force feedback is enabled within Race 07.
