Are you saying that nothing happends when you press the gas pedal on your newly installed G25? In that case it might work if you look up the "Control" section in the "Option" menu. Set all the controls that you want (especially the pedal controls) and try again. Or maybe you have forgot to install the Logitech profiler program called Wingman or something. I think you need to have that running while you play. This will also tell you if you have plugged it in correctly.

This should solve your problem and if it does then i suggest that you take some good time adjusting your Force Feedback setup to get the right feeling. Personally i thought that the default setting was really bad but after i set it up perfectly it was a dream to drive. The Force Feedback section can be found if you press the "advanced" button where you adjust your control settings.

Hope it works.

When you go to control panel game controller settings, you can test all buttons and pedals, does it work there, first try this, if this is ok then it has to be something with the game settings.

Did you turn the wheel on after you started the game? if so you should try turning the wheel on before you start the game

Yep, me too.

I'm 900ş / 30ş.

I find the trade-off of precision and stability you get at higher speeds is well worth the occasional spinny-armed hairpin shenanigans.

its here, well yesterday it arrived. Just spent all day racing. Its amazing, and hard work if you didnt have FF before. The gearstick could be better, but thats not to says its bad. The paddles and wheels are amazing. The pedals are slightly close together but thats cool.. (my arms ache )

Default From Momo to G25.. worth it ?

Been going trough some threads but could not find a comparisation between the 2 or some feedback of people switching from one to another.

So my question is simple: Would it be worth going from the MoMo to the G25 in terms of overall feedback and smoothness ?

Main reason for me wanting to switch is that I would love some more feedback from the pedals which the MoMo just does not give.

Offcourse if there is even better alternatives I am open to suggestions !

Thanks !

Only one answer imho: Yes!

I have both wheels and the G25 is far superious to the Momo in terms of everything except the size and the grips of the Momo wheel which was perfect. But the FFB, the shifter, the pedals etc on the G25 are the best you can get for that prize

Yes, as Bram said all the inputs are far more sensitive. The only thing I don't like about the G 25 is the flimsy connection to the computer desk....

I'm still driving my old Momo and was also looking for a G25 as a Christmas present to myself. One thing that I noticed is on the wheel itself: on my Momo I have 6 easily reachable buttons, on the G25 only 2. Or are there any buttons on the backside or hidden elsewhere?

There are more (lots) of buttons on shifter unit.
I went from a DFP to G25 this weekend and despite struggling to learn how to H-Shift properly and getting used to it I love it to death

thankyou to everyone who mentioned steering lock - I'm suddenly much more competitive now I've turned it up. I'd always kind of left it alone because I wasn't sure how it worked, but I feel like I'm much more consistent with it at 20 (360 rotation).
Came 5th out of 20 at Brno and qualified 4th out of 15 at Valer with a p.b. just now (game crashed on the second lap but it was going fairly well). Also made a p.b. on Monza in the f3000

I found I seemed to be too twichy at 22-23 but I might experiment a bit more. I'm reluctant to turn my degrees of rotation up though - mainly because of the noise... Wouldn't hurt to add another 40 degrees I guess...

I ran with 450 deg and 20 steering lock, i think it's a good compromise!

Well I deffinetly cannot afford a G25. So would a PS3 DFP be good? I'm looking to spend Ł50 (pre-owned is ok)

That's a definite yes.

I went from DFP to G25 recently, but only because it was my birthday.

The DFP's a great wheel, and the 900° rotation makes all the difference.

If I hadn't had the opportunity to upgrade due to happy coincidence, I would very, very happily have stayed DFP-ing into the night.

I'm keeping mine as a standby in case the unthinkable happens and the G25 starts giving me grief.

The G25 has become the new standard for wheels. There's a good reason they are so popular.

Hi all.
I use 200deg and 25 in steeringlook,
saw your diskussion have try 400deg and 33 look
but i think it is more presission with 200 deg?
I know that Roland Ehnström use 540 deg and 33 look
that means that you have to turn alot.

900° rotation and 33° is realistic and what I'm using...
Even 540° and 33 steering lock should be very twitchy.

I've used 400/23 before then 550/25 now 900/27+ with the G25.
It's more work but you find yourself able to be more smooth

900° rotation and 30° steering lock here.

I'd argue that the higher the rotation = more precision, Totte.

For instance, if you have a car with 25° steering lock.

Then you have 2 steering wheels - one calibrated at 250°, another calibrated at 500°.

The 250° wheel will give you 1° of steering lock for every 5° of wheel rotation.
The 500° wheel will give you 0.5° of steering lock for every 5° of wheel rotation.

Surely the higher rotation gives you greater precision than the lower rotation one.

540 and 33 lock sounds very twitchy, but 200 / 25 must be even more so.

If you just work out the ratio of lock to rotation (the number of degrees the car's wheels turns for every degree you turn the steering wheel),
33 / 540 = 0.061
25 / 200 = 0.125 which is twice as sensitive!

33 / 900 = 0.036 which is quite similar to
15 / 400 = 0.038 - but obviously you would have more of a problem with running out of steering round the steep corners at that level.

I'm on a ratio of about 0.56 atm

assuming I understand lock correctly.
