G25 reverse gear. Vista or Bust?

Has anyone had any problems with the G25's reverse gear?
Could it be my problem is related to running vista x64?

After a week of use, with reverse working fine I stumbled into an error whereby it wasnt being detected at all. I read something about it on the web but wondered if anyone else was running Vista to compare.

Obviously it's a big item to return, and I'm biding my time hoping it'll fix itself, but would you reccommend I wait for extensive vista supported drivers or should i start the RMA process?

Well, as far as I know, this can't be a Vista problem. Since the reverse gear worked fine earlier, it has to be something in some settings...
I could be wrong, but it's my intuition that is speaking now

Are you sure that:

1. You don't have it in sequential
2. You are not pressing another button by mistake (pressing a pedal down)
3. A lever or nob is not stuck in the 'ON' position

Sequential, is that UP and DOWN shifting? I use regular, push it in the slot for whatever gear i need. All other gears work splendidly, and i've had to map my reverse gear to my left paddle shifter (have to hold it down) to compensate.

Yeah the reverse, as i recall you have to push into a pushdown 6th gear position, which doesnt seem to be registering in the control panel. Can hear it click, but no light response.

Anyone know what the likely turnaround time for repair is with Logitech?
Do i contact the retailer (scan.co.uk) or Logitech direct?

sounds to me (no expert but) if your running windows vista x64 it could have changed the scripts in your g25 profiler.vista has a tendency of changing things without any confirmation that it is doing so so it might have changed and only changed it so that reverse doesnt work.

just a suggestion you hear allot about x64 vista mucking up hardware and software after a certain period of time

I agree on Supraboy. Reconfiger your Logitech profile, afterwards reassign reverse gear in GTR (If you try to assign, does it register then?) I believe it's button nr 14, but not sure at all.
