McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has raced Britain's mystyry driver 'The Stig' in the Top Gerar show. In the popular show Hamilton swapped his McLaren with a modest family car. The show will be on air this Sunday on BBC Two.

Alonso has signt a one year deal with Renault.

Renault F1 has confirmed that Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr. will drive for the team next year.

The news comes just four days after Renault escaped penalty in the spying affair, after the uncertainty meant that neither the team nor Alonso could commit to renewing their partnership.

Renault had wanted a three-year commitment from Alonso, while the driver has been offering his services for only one year in apparent anticipation of a move to Ferrari in 2009.

This means that Giancarlo "Fisio" also can go on a search for a new team.
Fisio hat some hope that he was to stay with Renault.
Well, the french team decided different.

Heikki Kovalainen will replace Fernando Alonso at McLaren and race alongside Lewis Hamilton next season.

The Finn was always favourite for the seat once Nico Rosberg extended his deal with Williams, and McLaren are confident that their new driver pairing will push for title honours in 2008.

The British outfit also confirmed that Pedro de la Rosa will remain on as the main test driver, with Gary Paffett assisting the Spaniard.

This has been comfirmed by Mclaren
