Re-naming profile?

A bit of a newb question perhaps but is there anyway of changing my name in game without creating a new profile?

I couldn't find an option for it, please tell me I've missed a trick and it's possible?

do you need to keep the profile for the stats or summat?

Doesn't the profile have all the settings in it? Not sure what I'll lose hence I'd rather re-name.

well, i had to create a new one to go with the name change the other day... if you don't care about your stats screen (go to profile manager and look at the statistics screen) then it's no hassle to create a brand new profile....

you only have to reset your game options, like mph/kph, default camera, volumes etc.... your controller config is separate to your profile and you'll just be able to re-pick it from the list rather than haveta set it all up again... 2 minute job, no pain....

Ah the controller config is good to know, I'll just reate a new profile then.

I didn't realise there was a stats screen, I'll take a look this evening.

I've done it some time ago and I recall I just changed the name of profile folder under UserData as well as changing the name of the .PLR and .gal files in the renamed profile folder.
