RACE 07: Multiplayer Race LAN

Hey dudes,

a bunch of friends and I meet once a year to play games, have barbecues, drink beer, etc.

I'm wondering if Race 07 would be a good game for us. So when everybody involved in this weekend buys Race 07 and installs the "online" version in order to have access to this "Multiplayer" menu .. can we guys just meet at some place without internet connection, start Race (in Steams offline mode) and still play this game using LAN?

Yes RACE 07 is a great game for a LAN. At the V-WTCC we use RaceRoom which is similar but with some extra features.

But before you setup a LAN dont forget to activate steam on each pc before you go to the LAN party. Otherwise it might not work. Activation requires an internet connection for one time.

In addition, make sure to start the game also while steam is connected to internet.

On the lanparty itself, just start steam and you get this not-connected message. Click on Offline and just start your game.
It will work without problems.

Note: Make sure everyone has the same Race07 version (see number in mainmenu).
