Default Forum ranks / Driver Abilites

I was wondering if it was possable to have some sort of ranking system in place for people driving abilites within the forum.

I know you can have a ranking dydtem within a forum but what Im asking is a bit more complcated than that ( I think). For example in each persons mini details when post you allready get there name , join date and so on .

But I would like to see some sort of bar or icons for levels of driving skill for the major games we run, For example Race, Race 07, GTR, GTR2, GTL , RFactor and ARCA.

This bar or icon would show if the driver is a rookie, novice amature or so on, and this could be developed within FD events. This would Help those who need or even want help plus if they want to join a larger event they are more likely to be put with drivers of a similar ability.

To be perfectly honest I am not in favour of this. Firstly, there would be lots of debate about how to access the rankings. What describes someones driving ability:
1. Fastest hot lap times?
2. Overall results from races? (this would be influenced by how often they race).
3. Cleanest driving record?

If we race together often enough we will soon get to know who we think are the drivers we prefer to race with (for whatever reason) but I don't favour grouping people based on some form of driving ability assessment. In fact, one of the key objectives of the FD Series is to encourage experienced and non experienced drivers to get together in the same races. The best and most experienced drivers here at RD are more than willing to help the less experienced drivers, all they need to do is ask.

I agree with your arugement there and possably the idea sounded better in my head or the fact I havn't got it across as well as I could of.

I quite like the FD events I like picking up tips of the more expirenced drivers when they are on teamspeak.

We could judge it on the rankings of the WTCC league
