Default What postbit do you prefer? (Updated with solution)

UPDATE:

Since the poll was undecided i had to look for a forum modication. Good lord somebody released it yesterday

From now on you can select your own postbitstyle:
  1. Go to your USER CP: http://forum.racedepartment.com/usercp.php
  2. Click Edit Options: http://forum.racedepartment.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
  3. Scroll down to the category called: Thread Display Options
  4. Find Default Postbit
  5. Mark "Yes, i prefer old postbit" for the vertical postbit
  6. Unmark "Yes, i prefer old postbit" for the horizontal postbit
  7. Enjoy your new layout
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time for a style polly. From the beginning of the RD forum we use the new postbit style (horizontal) for our vBulletin.
Many other forums still use the old postbit style (vertical)

The modern one has some advantages that you can post wider pictures and the post look a bit smaller because the character have more space to stretch.
The classic version has also some benefits that you dont see all the userinfo and avatars all the time while scrolling and that all the text continues without being interrupted by a postbit.

Now the question, which one do you prefer for RD!

Attached is a vertical and a horizontal version

I'll be a Bi Guy on this one. I originally preferred the vertical one, but having got used to the horizontal one, I quite like it.
No major preference but marginally in favour of the horizontal one.

Nope, Atti still likes the vertical one, but can live with the current too.

I have no bias either, I regularily post on forums which use both. I like the current one for posting images but then I dont post any photographs here so I dont find it that usefull

Mmm, hard one for me, as I like it both ways too *cough* ;)

Maybe if there are enough people choosing "vertical" could there be a 1 week trial to see how things look? Or is it possible to setup a "styles" option in the user cp to view it how you would like. I know there are options to have "user colours" but not sure if you can do it with board layouts or anything like that.

I think we should keep it how it is - the vertical one is over used by other forums... so it makes us stand out a bit

What we really need is a widescreen forum skin - instead of the narrow current one.

Vertical; I keep on scrolling through the horizontal nonsense

Best would be if the user can decide for himself.

I like the horizontal view, text is better readable and give more room fore photo's
but when you type your text you have a small field, and that change when you submit your tread.
Second, I have to say that the colour scheme with wite text in light blue is difficult to reed.

But its all nice criticism.

Hans

Excellent..I grew up on the Legacy Postbit style, so I'll go back with that...also run Legacy style as default on my board as well.
