Sounds like a hardware fault then eh??
Is it still in warranty?
Alternatively ... go get that G25 mate

EDIT: if its not under warranty, try taking it apart and checking the connections etc on the PCB, switches etc ... might just have a bad contact??

Darren, did you check what happens when you reverse the FF effects? I had the same problem when I connected my G25 the 2st time and that helped.

Hi Gary,

I have this wheel, yes it has pedals i.e accelarator & brake, paddles behind wheel for gear change like F1

For the price i think it is excellent and serves my purpose till im allowed by the mrs to get a G25 LOL

It is well built and the pedals have a solid enough feel so for £45 you cant go wrong yes there are better wheels but they will cost you more, i believe it's all about what you can afford and if £50 is your limit like mine was then you cant go wrong with this wheel

Hope that helps ?

Hi Grant,

Does it work ok with Race 07/GTR Evo ?

As I had a G25 awhile ago and had to sell it, but I think I really need a wheel and can't afford much

Works fine on Race07, GTR Evo, GT Legends & Rfactor, have not tried it with GTR 2 though but see no problems there either.

I would say the wheel setup is all down to you because there setup could not suit you at all. Its all about trial and error

Totally agree Ben. Had mine about 18 months now and still find myself doing the odd tweak now and then. It's part of the fun, finding your 'perfect' setup One thing I have just done is order a new shifter, one of these

Highslide JS
My logitech h-shifter has started to feel a bit 'loose' lately. I can still use sequential ok but for GTL you've gotta use a clutch and shift (imo)

My G25 settings:

Overall effects strength: 100%

Spring effect strength: 50%

Damper effect strength: 50%

*checked box enabling centering spring, but on 0%

The other 2 boxes unchecked

Wheel rotation: 400 degrees -> don't forget to put steering lock in carsetup menu to ~23 degrees.

Takes no time at all to get used to. As for how to shift, it's up to you. Sequential or paddle shifting is generally quicker but H Shifting adds to the 'authenticity' in some cars ie Caterhams. Generally, I try and shift with what is present in the real car, but as I say it's entirely up to you.

I would have to agree. I change mine, tweak would be more accurate, as the months go on. I have the FFB dialed down so low as to be negligible. I have mine set to about 360 degrees of rotation.

By all means - start with someones suggestions but then make adjustments to suit you.

Yeah, this beauty is fantastic. Have it now for a month and was new into h-shifting (didn't like the G25 H-shifter).
I drove the Z4 over the Ring with the H-Shifter last monday.... Stunning!
My biggest problem is shifting from 6th to 5th gear. Once it becomes second nature like shifting in real cars, I'll have no problems anymore

Sorry for the off-topic.

I've been experimenting with the wheel settings for a while and my current settings are:

Profiler (I don't have the Profiler running while playing):
Overall Effects Strength: 100
Spring Effects: 0
Damper Effects: 0
Centering Spring: unchecked and set to 0
Allow Game to adjust: ticked
Rotation currently: 513 (was 611 before)

In-Game:
Speed Sensitive Steering: 42%
Steering Sensitivity: 100%
Brake & Accelerator & Clutch: 50%
Feedback Effect: Low
Feedback Strength: 100%
Steering Force: 140%
Steering Vibration: 25%
Engine: 15%
Brakes: 9%
Curbs: 25%
Impact: 100%

But as I say I'm always tweaking or trying some setting or other.
