well, i think the black momo from Logitech is still a very nice choice for the lower price range, wheel is good, pedals are not so, but thats the same for anything below the G25 range.

In any case i would look for a Logitech, they are way ahead of anybody else in the commercial range for wheels.

Picking the right steering wheel is quite hard. As you know the G25 is at the cutting edge of commercial gaming, but it comes at a price.

I would say look at your budget and look at what other brands as well as Logitec have to offer in your price range. Also even though you have a 360 controller look at console wheels that will cross over to the PC youll be surprised.

But look at things like wheel rotation, how well built does it looks Inc the pedals, Look at function (Buttons theres never enough buttons), and way up your odds. Also google reviews of the wheels that have caught your eye that way you can see what people have thought of them for gaming.

Agreed, most of the wheels by Logitech. I use a DFP because the G25 is just too expensive, the only advantage I could see was the H-Shifter, but most people only use that offline anyway.

I do have a wireless xbox 360 wheel for the pc but there is no force feedback and the rotation is 180. So i don't like to use it. I don't want to spend more than £70. I liked the look of the logitech momo wheel but it's doesn't have much rotation, the only other option would be the logitech driving force pro. Would you say the logitech driving force pro is the best wheel at this budget.
This wheel looks good though

Thrustmaster looks a bit cheaply made in my opinion - i doubt it will last as long as a DFP

Go for the Logitech Driving Force Pro - its a brilliant wheel.

Simon - there are many advantages, the wheel is bigger, the paddles are easier to reach, better button layout, better FFB, better pedals + clutch - all have different pressure, and are alloy, wheel is leather, has the option of a H pattern.

yes but if you decide for logitech DFP (not from second hand)) make sure you get the new one(new model).I think its called DRIVING PRO GT or somthing like that,it has the same price as old, same rotation, but people say its much smoother and it works for PC and PS3.You can find a review of this wheel on Inside sim racing TV.

The New NEw Logitech GT is all ready released in the US but as far as Im aware ins not in the UK. Yes its mainly aimed at the PS£ so no real PC drivers but you can use the old drivers for the old version and get it to work but some of the button features then dont work.

You gain the same rotaion ans the G25 but it is let down by the build quality of it s pedals. But its a good price and a dam good wheel plus you never know Logitech could release proper PC drivers in the near future.

If your on a limited budget then look on ebay, i got a thrustmaster ferrari ff for £6.50 +pp 3 or 4 mths ago. search in all the controller listings, mine was incorrectly listed with mice n stuff i think not joysticks. I had one years ago till the motor packed up ppls opinion vary but i like it, and for the prices there going for on ebay id recomend 1 to anyone!

something like this
Force FeedBack Arcade Steering Wheel for PC USB BOXED on eBay, also, Joysticks, Input Devices, Computing (end time 02-Jun-08 20:04:18 BST)

Microsoft SIDEWINDER USB Force Feedback Steering Wheel on eBay, also, Other Input Devices, Input Devices, Computing (end time 01-Jun-08 19:40:02 BST)

my brother had one of these, i wasnt too keen on it but it did the job!

There really isn't any point in him getting something that cheap, as it will be worse than his xbox wheel that he sometimes uses at the moment.

really, explain to me why getting the wheel at a good price makes it a poorer wheel than if i buy it new (apart from the 2nd hand factor)! the thrustmaster is a good wheel (it was the expletive deleted when it camer out), plus he could use it on his xbox.

I havnt seen a wheel designed for a console that would better the ms let alone the thrustmaster, then again i dont like console gaming so i dont really look.

1 Day? Thats still too long.... LOL Atti.

G25 owner here; very satisfied with it. Its worth the money, still I think Logitech has to make a light version without the shifter and more buttons on the wheel itself.

which is why i said the thrustmaster ferrari ff, the original wheel they bought out much better than the following wheels.

this one, its an old review from a racer not an editor who plays games!

Thrustmaster Ferrari FF wheel

its just an opinion, like i said i like mine, i liked the original when i had it and the one i have now is the updated version!

he list a cpl of issues in the downside that ive never experienced, paddles breaking and the pc locking up moving the wheel when off, looking back over the downsides none of them have been relevant to me.

For me its an a+ wheel, good ff, good feel, good pedals, cheap, CHEAP, did i mention cheap and if it does break you can get another one cheap my old one took a battering for about 3 yrs the motor burnt out and i think that was down to a power spike and not faulty wheel.

Yes it does, the Driving Force GT works completely fine with the PC - well, a few buttons don't work... the + and - and the red one that rotates.
