I changed to Vista X64 from XP 32bit on Saturday and when i went to try out GTR2 the force feedback ingame was really messed up. I put the newest drivers on and put my usual settings on and had the same ingame settings - but it feels completely different. Its as if the force feedback only works if you go really fast or if you only turn a certain amount, other than that it just feels light and springy. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem, because if it carries on it will most likely put me out of the WTCC League.

Hi all
I have my g25 logitech since last year and i used it for PS3. The Force feedback did not work, but they told me that it was not possible with the formula 1 game. But, with Race 07 or any other games it does not work too. Has anyone had this problem? I need help for it because it's really.. SHIT driving without feeling what your car is doing. That's why also i can't drive a BMW in Race 07, cause i don't feel when the rear is moving. Thanks |

A G25 owner will correct me if Im wrong, Im sure you can test the forcefeedback from the logitech control panel. Also you have made sure the force feedback is enabled within Race 07.

yes you can test it in control panel
if you have the logitech profiler installed, then go to device => game controllers there you will see any logitech controller installed double click on the G25...you will get properties of the G25......if everything is installed correctly, then just press a button of the G25, then the steering wheel should start to move.....if it moves, then it does have the ffb installed correctly and/or properly working hope that helps

Maybe some information for other FFB problems.
I had updated my software to the latest version and after that i lost my FFB everytime i loaded a racegame. In race07,Rfactor and ARCA sim that problem came up. I removed the updated software and reinstalled the software from the cdrom provided with the G25. Problem solved! Maybe handy

For those like me who don't have a cockpit, every time you want to drive your sim with a G25 it's not confortable to install / uninstall: two parts, a lot of wires, there is a real risk to damage the wheel or shifter if unfortunately a part fall down. I Thought about a solution that allow to install / uninstall securely with less wires messing around as fast as with my old Sidewinder wheel. As you see in photos both parts are fixed in a 10mm thickness wood. Now it's very easy and fixing needs less pressure on the screws!..

Hi, my g25 started to behave strange.when i turn on computer i starts to calibrate but instead of calibrate smooth it stops in one point then start to go again and dose not finishes at the center position but about 40deg. to the right.I tried to unplug it and turn it off few times ,no result to that.I checked in the game and for now it works normal but im afraid it might change also.Maybe someone had the same problem??

I always calibrate mine before each race session to be sure. I do this via the profiler, but you could also do it through windows.
Does it calibrate ok when you do that? You could also try plugging it into a diffferent usb socket.

I also did try that. But You know what helped just minute ago- turning off FF and then calibrating wheel and this time all seems to be normal. But thanks for help.I will write if this helped just for now or for good.Anyway i think its strange that my wheel calibrate propperly when FF is off and cen. spring is on(145%) beacouse it wasnt like that when i first buy it(its just about 3months old).

well, i think the black momo from Logitech is still a very nice choice for the lower price range, wheel is good, pedals are not so, but thats the same for anything below the G25 range.
In any case i would look for a Logitech, they are way ahead of anybody else in the commercial range for wheels.

Picking the right steering wheel is quite hard. As you know the G25 is at the cutting edge of commercial gaming, but it comes at a price.
I would say look at your budget and look at what other brands as well as Logitec have to offer in your price range. Also even though you have a 360 controller look at console wheels that will cross over to the PC youll be surprised. But look at things like wheel rotation, how well built does it looks Inc the pedals, Look at function (Buttons theres never enough buttons), and way up your odds. Also google reviews of the wheels that have caught your eye that way you can see what people have thought of them for gaming.

Agreed, most of the wheels by Logitech. I use a DFP because the G25 is just too expensive, the only advantage I could see was the H-Shifter, but most people only use that offline anyway.

I do have a wireless xbox 360 wheel for the pc but there is no force feedback and the rotation is 180. So i don't like to use it. I don't want to spend more than £70. I liked the look of the logitech momo wheel but it's doesn't have much rotation, the only other option would be the logitech driving force pro. Would you say the logitech driving force pro is the best wheel at this budget.
This wheel looks good though http://forum.racedepartment.com/thru...ustmaster.html

Thrustmaster looks a bit cheaply made in my opinion - i doubt it will last as long as a DFP
Go for the Logitech Driving Force Pro - its a brilliant wheel. Simon - there are many advantages, the wheel is bigger, the paddles are easier to reach, better button layout, better FFB, better pedals + clutch - all have different pressure, and are alloy, wheel is leather, has the option of a H pattern. |

yes but if you decide for logitech DFP (not from second hand)) make sure you get the new one(new model).I think its called DRIVING PRO GT or somthing like that,it has the same price as old, same rotation, but people say its much smoother and it works for PC and PS3.You can find a review of this wheel on Inside sim racing TV.

![]() The New NEw Logitech GT is all ready released in the US but as far as Im aware ins not in the UK. Yes its mainly aimed at the PS£ so no real PC drivers but you can use the old drivers for the old version and get it to work but some of the button features then dont work. You gain the same rotaion ans the G25 but it is let down by the build quality of it s pedals. But its a good price and a dam good wheel plus you never know Logitech could release proper PC drivers in the near future.
