Default Anyone had experience with this playseat?

Seen this on the net guys but can find anymore info on it

http://www.fk-automotive.de/websale7...8de3c%2fmd5%7d

I was wondering if anyone here has one of these or can offer some advice? I've been looking to buy a dedicated racing seat for a while but making my own cockpit would be a challenge, as I'm not so good with the woodwork/metalwork lol

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I have a Playseat and it's great for racing and you set any wheel on it.
You can see some pictures on the forum. Look at show off ,show your cockpit

Yeah I saw the post about the rinoseat or whatever it's called - doesn't look stable enough to be almost labelled "rhino" though. In part of the description it says that "feel the vibration through the wheel for extra effect"..............I think that translates as "the support for the wheel is not stable, it vibrates and flexes so much that we will call it extra effect"!

In other words, I would like it to be a lot stronger and actually get the effect from the FF instead. The problem I have is that I'd like it to be strong but not too expensive, like the VPP rack for me is too much money - great bit of kit but it won't get past the wife's examination ;)

The original "playseat" I've seen for about 300+- euro, so this one from FK is quite a bit cheaper which makes me kind of sceptical about the quality.

It's good to hear Jacco that the playseat is great

There is very interesting video. Look second video from top (Simware Show 08 First Video). After 2/3 of this video you will see a kid on Playseat Evolution. When he pushes a pedal on G25, pedal plate is strong flexing. What will happen when big man pushes the pedal with both legs? Angle of this pedal plate is terrible (my opinion) and can't change.

There is a video with Playseat (look pole in the middle):

...Otherwise just a disclaimer... It is really to low I donīt find it comfortable to use on my evolution... I used a separate table for my shifter instead. Itīs not worth the money IMO... http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpo...40&postcount=3

You can reply what you want but I do not think your product meets my requirements.

I could also post links to tests of the playseat and very satisfied customers but that would just be pushing it in peoples faces like you are currently doing. I had previously stated that I had seen your thread, so there was no need to hijack this one with more of your advertising.

Thanks for your understanding!

I removed my "advertising" and only thing i am leaving is the answer on the wrong statements about Rinoseat.

Those are the wrong statements!!!

Please, read this review: http://www.simjunkies.org/Forum/index.php?topic=7887.0 from England.

...The first thing I noticed on firing up GT Legends was the way in which the force-feedback generated by the wheel is transferred through the seat; this is a brilliant innovation, and again, we should commend the designer for his original approach to building a race seat...

...I am around 6’1” tall (1.85m), and weigh in at a well managed 16st 12lbs (236lbs – 107kg). I have to say that, at a glance, the tubing used in construction of the Rinoseat looked mighty flimsy when confronted by my considerable girth, and despite Ted’s assurance that the tubing would easily cope with my bulk, it was with considerable trepidation that I lowered myself gingerly in to the Rinoseat for the first time. I shouldn’t have worried; the seat felt solid and secure, and within seconds, my fears had evaporated, to be replaced by a confidence that the seat was going to be able to handle anything I threw at it...

...Now, I remind you that, in my introduction, I alluded to the fact that I am something of a “mauler” behind the wheel, and the single tube which supports the wheel does have a tendency to flex when subjected to my abusive driving style. I cannot say how this will affect the components long-term, but I would not be overly concerned. The flexing is hardly noticeable, and does not suggest that, a few months down the line, the Rinoseat will be falling apart. If anything, I believe that the flexing will in fact prolong the life of the G25, as it transfers some of the considerable forces applied through my wheel, and dissipates these through the tube. The pedals, wheel and shifter have remained firmly fixed through out the test, and I have no reason to suspect that the Rinoseat will require constant maintenance to keep it tip-top...

...The utilisation of the wheel’s force-feedback to give a “rumble-seat” effect is a great innovation, and I am certain that other manufacturers will be looking closely at ways of employing this approach in their own cockpits...

Good call to close it. If Rino Seats need a forum for their product they should send me a pm. Please stop spamming around in various threads.
