I can understand the frustration. However, I'm not sure that this suggestion will help too much. What if it drops out during the 5 min warm up. It's usually just a matter of luck (bad luck admittedly) when it happens.
ok, ney probs, just trying to think of a solution for guys in the main event. even though pretty annoying last night (i'd spent the day ripping up carpet and removing skirting boards from all of downstairs so was itching to race) nowt was lost. Would be a shame to think the championship was decided like this.

Understand the response, would be a pain to quali on pole to go to a warm up where someone that dropped in quali was able to join to then end up dropping yourself.

it is very interesting to hear that there were a lot of others with issues last night. at least now i know the gods weren't just targeting me!

hope the race was a good one for those that managed to stay on and see you on track soon (/me glances threateningly at ISP)

We don't mind all the speculation and discussion, but please be aware the the Race Directors will be setting the League schedule, independent of what is posted here.

Think you guys had a lot to do this time...

But there is especially one issue that confuses me a little. And yes..it was me sending all those cutting incidents. And I'm aware of that the Race Directors decisions are final.

From the briefing from round 1:
WARNING! Cutting the track!
...From next race on, reported drivers will be checked. If they cut the track in their fastest lap, they will receive time penalty. We can check both pre-qualification and race events!

It was also pointed out before round 2 that driving in the grass was not allowed. Well, obvious some drivers didn't stick to that rule at all and sort of got away with it.

So what should I do? Keep following the rules and sometimes lose a few places and just be happy or try to bend the rules when it's most suitable? I guess everyone can afford a warning. In this particular case I was a lot slower than both these drivers and I guess that only a small time penalty wouldn't give me any extra points. No fishing for points and I don't dislike those 2 drivers at all. Just want to know if there will be a little more sticking to the rules from the race directors in the future. Anyway, I will hold on to my policy and keep avoiding the grass, but of course there will be accidents from me too I guess

Still think you race admins are doing a fantastic job but I suppose you never want me as judge. ;)

First of all thanks for all the help.

For the issue at hand, whoever gets a general warning like this time Ludwig and Daniel recieved, next breaching of rules results in DQ from the following round, see Pirro Chun. I think thats serious enough.

Before the Istanbul race 4 from my team had a simular incident "life came in the way" like you mention it here...

they were all lined up at a racetrack ready to race, and 15min before, the connection was cut off..

They could not do anything, so i reported adscense, but with under 24 hours left...

We could not have done anything, but still they were penalised and could not drive Valencia..

Would this same thin then happen to the 2 black rebel guys ??!

Just curious, because if it dont happen and theire abscense is under 24 hours before the event, i dont think i have understanded the rules, and belive me i have been trying to read it all.....

Thomas, i ask it for the last time very very politely, would you please cut off the bullshit????

There was never any e-mail recieved at absences@racedepartment.com from any of your team mates or from you.
First read the rules, then complain.
and the Black Rebel guys did report their absences there.

If you plan to keep on debating about it here in the public, be aware of possibilities that you will not be able to answer any further, since i will ban you both from the forum and any further League and RD event.

Default LiveTiming timezone question

What timezone is LiveTiming in?

A timestamp of the last update is displayed on the screen when viewing the page. I am in MDT which is GMT-6 and when I looked at the page at about 20:10 MDT the page showed the last update at 3:00:38 am. When I looked at the page again at about 20:30 MDT the timestamp was "Last update 5/29/2008 4:00:37 AM".

Thanks...

Thanks -- that helps a lot. And also, thanks for the update on the web page!

I was trying to figure out what was happening last night and couldn't quite put it together. Thought it was updating each hour, but wasn't sure because it wasn't happening on the hour even though the timestamp said it was. And, it kind of made it look like it was MDT+7.5, which I wasn't even sure existed. So, to me LiveTiming is MDT+8 if CET is GMT+2...

Since everyone is spread out across the globe it's sort of interesting trying to get a sense of what it's like locally...
